For sale, Land Rover Lightweight in Drab Olive (1983)
MOT until May 12th 2014 (exhaust was the only advisory, so that was replaced), and taxed until September 2014.
This lovely lightweight has been previously sold by us, and were delighted to receive it back for resale, once Mick had had his fun with it. In his ownership he had treated it to a full stainless steel exhaust, but other than that it’s as it was….straight, clean, and packed with all the extras you’d expect from a good lightweight.
It’s petrol, with weber carburretor, and was only released from active service in 2000….during that time it was well serviced, as they are, and there is a complete service schedule from the forces, which is quite unusual, and lovely to have. Since that time there have only been two former keepers, so it has not done a great deal, and this really shows in the way it sounds and looks.
On the exterior there are loads of nice features…a 24v FFR canvas, atu wing top box, front and rear bumperettes, lifting eyes, a full set of highly desirable 650×16 extra grips (correct fitment), a full tailgate complete with pioneer tools, nato hitch etc etc. The interior is also fitted with some toys…..various bits of radio kit, a fire extinguisher, a sought after seat belt rear rail for mounting the belts, gun clips, twin rear seat belts….and even in the engine bay you get a toolbox with correct jack, and a stowed cranking handle in the correct place.
Good lightweights like this are hard to find, and we are delighted to be able to present Mick’s once again for sale.
