For sale, landrover Series 2a in Mid Grey (1964)

Taxed and tested until March 2013. Tax exempt, and passed her MOT with no advisories issued.  Petrol 2286cc.

Claribell (CBL) has only had five keepers in her 48years, and the first three kept her for 44 of them! Her mileage of 51,000 cannot be verified unfortunately, but her speedo is still working well, so who knows!  She is, as far as can be seen, completely unrestored, and we suspect the paint is original. She still sports her original sale badge on the seat box…..”Supplied By Marchants Garages LTD, PHONE Newbury 1501.” She bears some blemishes and imperfections, but looks great for her age.

She is very original, and has all the period features expected of this age of Landrover….push button start,solex carburretor, deep radiator, dynamo, twin period wiper motors, desirable cat flap and drop down tailgate with original chains and covers,round heater, original steering wheel, cranking handle, original elephant hide seats (seen better days unfortunately), etc etc. She has an ex military recon engine, so starts and runs very sweetly…She is on the proper 600 tyres (all new), which makes her pull better and keeps the steering light….she is a joy to drive, and not at all slow.

All in all, we think Claribell is a charming old useable Landrover, in a very pretty and sought after colour.

For sale, Landrover Series 3 in Marine Blue (1984)

MOT until April 2013 (no advisories), and taxed until September 2012.

Rebuilt on a galvanised chassis in recent years, and fitted with the superb Landrover 200tdi. This unit is well known to be unburstable, and is a fantastic upgrade to a series 3, giving over 30mpg.  It is also fitted with an overdrive and free wheeling hubs for added economy and relaxed cruising.

Professional respray in 2008, which still looks excellent today.

Also includes Radiator Muff to aid warming up, a working rear spotlight (great for winter or reversing), parabolic springs for a more comfortable ride, and a sturdy towbar with drop plate and electrics for some serious towing….(it really would be good with that superb engine.

For sale, Landrover Series 2a in Deep Bronze Green (1960)

MOT until February 12th 2013, and exempt from road fund duty.

Only six keepers in 52 years, with a recorded mileage of 25,800 miles.  Has covered very few miles since earliest recorded MOT in 2005 so this is possibly correct, although it cannot be completely warranted.  

Rebuilt on a galvanised chassis, petrol engine. Engine runs silently, and it drives well.

Some nice original features including wiper motors, smiths heater, lamp guards, elephant hide rear bench seats (only one seat base on one seat, luxury door cards, rear load mat, beautiful steering wheel and free wheeling hubs. Replacement luxury driver’s seat, and high quality matting system.

This Landrover was very comprehensively refurbished (body off, engine out) to a high standard a couple of years ago, and is in really nice condition. Attention has been paid to detail, and to demonstrate this we have included a shot of the engine bay, which is superb. The upgrade also includes a 90 spec front end which makes this a very distinctive vehicle. It also boasts free wheeling hubs. The chassis has been skillfully refurbished and is in very sound order.
